Grade 4A

Mirela Hot

In Year Four this term students are learning about the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Students are examining European exploration and colonisation in Australia and throughout the world up to the early 1800s.

Kamila Wardere: "It was very fun and interesting! I learned so much!"

Ayaleh Youssouf: "This was my first excursion at Sirius College; we saw an old house that people used to live in a long time ago. We also learnt about Aboriginal history and looked at their art and languages."

Sarah Redzovic: "It was very fun! We got to go to many different places and it was a good learning experience. We had to be in partners for one activity and using an ipad we got to take pictures of ourselves and the arts or pictures."

Here are some snapshots from our adventure at the Melbourne Museum.

Medine Cilek

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are coming near the end of the term and the students have been very busy with completing assessments and class projects. As you all know 'Seqta' has replaced Coolsis and it is anticipated that parents will have access to Seqta in term 2. Please ensure that your email is up to date with school administration so you can effectively use Seqta to check your child's results and behaviour scores next term. I'd like to thank my students for their effort this term and look forward to another busy and exciting term in Term 2.

The students had a fun and eventful day at Melbourne Museum recently. They enjoyed looking at Indigenous art work, crafts and gained insight to the lifestyle led by Indigenous Australians long ago. Here are some snap shots from our day.

Kind Regards,
Ms Cilek
